Though the domination of the Premier League and the domestic cups by the Big 4 may be predictable year after year, the FA Cup has recaptured a bit of its magic this season.

The 1/4 Finals were held over the weekend and 3 of the games were huge upsets.

Man Utd 0 Portsmouth 1

Barnsley 1 Chelsea 0

Middlesbrough 0 Cardiff 2

West Bromwich Albion 5 Bristol Rovers 1

So that means that 1 of the 4 teams is going to end a significant silverware drought. WBA was the last of them to win the Cup (1968). Portsmouth last won in 1939, Cardiff in 1927 and Barnsley in 1912.

The Semis are also the first time since 1908 that only 1 top flight club has made it to the final four and the final will be the first since 2004 that at a second tier club has made it to Cardiffembley - that was Tim Cahill's Millwall. I don't think there has ever been a final where both teams were from the lower divisions. It's up to you WBA!

Semis:-

Barnsley v Cardiff

Portsmouth v West Brom

at wembley on 5 & 6 April

It has captured my interest. Good to see some different teams popping up.

Though they gave it to Liverpool, I'm behind Barnsley.

Im hoping for a Pompey vs Barnsley final.

Not to do with the EPL but great to see the scum on Arsenal out of the CL, although i didn't want either to progress its great to see one out.

Adebayor you arrogant tosser, telling Liverpool fans to 'go home' after he scored that goal, .

I woke up and switched on the telly just in time to see Wigan's stoppage time equaliser at Chelsea this morning. I laughed until I realised that one goal pretty much handed the championship to Man Utd.
