The folk at Getty Images put an album up containing photos of the venues as they currently stand.

Does the change in the uniform regulations for Beach Volleyball give me a legitimate claim to get my money back?

And so it begins.
BBC has 24 dedicated channels, all in HD. The wife has been told that the remote is staying with me for the next two weeks.

Thoughts on the ceremony?
I wonder what the Americans made of the section celebrating universal healthcare

So how's the atmosphere around the UK? I missed most of the opening ceremony but images I have seen looked great....they should of thrown out a corgi or two after the queen when she jumped out of the helicopter.

Up here in Scotland, its been a little meh, as most people don't have tix and aren't travelling down to see it. Also didn't help that the events that are taking place up here don't include any of Team GB.
In London however, all the vibe that I'm getting from facebook is that is going off. We'll find out next Saturday when we get there.
The ceremony was almost universally well received. Some commentators found it to be "too British", but they were in the minority and most others found that sentiment to be ridiculous.

How c***-tastic is it having Ray Hadley and Rebecca Wilson commentating the swimming?!?! Not only are they horrible human beings but they're just plain awful at commentary.
