Clicking links - open in same tab or new tab

Hi Cam,

Not a big issue, but when you click a link on here, it opens in the same tab, and I find myself finishing with the link and closing the tab and in doing so ending my session on here. Most other sites I go to (other forums, FB, twitter, etc.) have links open in a new tab so it's a kinda conditioned behaviour.

Would it bother you or anyone else awfully if links were set to open in a new tab?

Cheers, Dibo

Thanks for the feedback Dibo. Has annoyed me also but never got around to fixing it! I've managed to do it now, however unfortunately it won't apply to existing links, but all links in new posts will now open in a new tab.

There's a few issues with the forum that need to be sorted, preventing it being upgraded to the latest version at the moment.

Yobbo, what in particular frustrates you?

Search blatantly doesn't work.

Lack of features, for instance feedback options - liking posts, informed when posts quoted.

Avatar size limits for the very best SVGA monitors 1998 has to offer.

Lack of truncation/downscaling images of quoted posts

Lack of integration with other social media and news platforms, ie no auto formatting of shared links.

For the "View unread posts" link, it's constantly returning "Sorry but you cannot use search at this time. Please try again in a few minutes."
