I didn't go last night, will be at the next game. The club has the crowds it deserves...
I had a double take when I saw the crowd figure, but it's actually 9233 . +10 on last home game. Easy mistake to make.
What made me suspicious also was last season for one home fixture Fox accidentally quoted the attendance of the previous week.
My doctor has an explanation for why I notice these things :p
Cheers for clearing it up. Still didn't look like the ground was at 9000 capacity. They are lucky they are winning games because this city is going to be hitting some hard times soon...
All booms come to an end. We're going through similar here, albeit a different dynamic.
Just take solace that every cashed up bogan who's cut you off in their slapped up ute the last few years still owes principal and interest when the sh*t hits.

50% of the cash goes to the rest of the league and then if they go into the A-League, they lose this regular pay day. Its not always worth it to become a bigger club in a bigger league...

Knowing what level of the pyramid needs the cash is the important factor. An additional a-league team, with a heavily diluted pool for the remaining domestic comeptition, would make NZ football top heavy. IMO the money is far better spent on the ASB premiership clubs and moving toward professionalism at the domestic level.

Well not the ripper we were hoping for but a good result for Adelaide.
I expect big things from this club & city in the future. If they let me down, well, God help them.
