His betting binge was so large, some bookmakers hounded him for payment, with one even threatening to employ a Gold Coast standover man to recoup the money from the Brisbane Lions.

Just a sound bite on Sky evening news(31 Jan 11) that "" a number of AFL players have been suspended" for misbehavior on end-of-season trip(s) to NZ..no doubt there will be much information forthcoming soon. depending upon severity, pretty soon its going to be a bit more difficult for AFL-ers to get up on their high horse about Leaguies starring as the leader in OzSports off field indescretion(s) - more to follow I guess:(
