Off to three WAFL games this long weekend lol.

Crowds have been solid without any real surprises. Biggest crowd of the year has been the Easter Monday clash at Bassandean Oval with 4,672 at the game.

Expecting 8000 at Freo Oval and 6000 at Arena Joondalup this Foundation Day

Surprising crowd of 3047 at Eftel Oval on Saturday for Perth v West Perth

Top of the Ladder clash between Swan Districts and East Perth, looking at 4-5000 and probably some onfield violence lol.

Round 14

West Perth v East Fremantle - Kalannie - 1643
Subi v Claremont - Medibank 2111
Swans v East Perth - 3417
South Freo v Peel Thunder - 1643 ( Sunday)

Swan Districts Home Crowds have been skyrocketing and would be even bigger if not for the Eagles and Dockers playing on the same day on Saturday. They should be getting another high 2000 crowd this week against West Perth.

Egan, are you in favour of AFL reserve teams in the WAFL?

Nope, unless the Eagles and Dockers give $150,000 a club as compensation for the loss of sponsorship revenue etc etc.

The AFL ended the reserves competition some time ago.
It would be easier and simpler for the AFL to ban second tier affiliations to level the playing field
than to force the WAFL and SANFL to accept the introduction of reserve sides from the AFL.

Have no idea what you are talking about that was relevant to what my response was.

Good game at Subi on Sunday.

Great fight back by the Sharks. Not a bad crowd, but having Claremont in the Grand Final really restricts the crowd size.

Went to around 30 WAFL games this year and one shithouse AFL game in Brisbane. Looking forward to returning next season.

State of Origin in Northam this year. Using the 2001 game against Tasmania in Kalgoorlie and the fairly large crowd at Rushton than Leederville in why they are playing the game there.

Should be good, would have preferred a different country town to Northam though. Went to the intraclub game last week at Rushton, hard to gauge how we are progressing. Think I only will be able to get too one pre season game.

Round 1 crowds

West Perth v East Perth - 2,574
Perth v Peel - 1525
Claremont v Sth Freo - 1703
East Freo v Swan Districts -2218

Fairly average attendances for round 1. Was a pretty good crowd at Medibank for a game going head to head with the derby yesterday.

Next week we play a game on Good Friday, be interesting to see how people embrace it in Mandurah

Round 2

Subiaco v West Perth - 2035
East Perth v Peel Thunder - 1689

Decent crowds considering Derby sellout, NBL sell out and 13,000 at the Force for their first game of the season.

Probably off to two games this weekend, our Good Friday game and Basso Oval for Swan Districts v Claremont.

Biggest crowd for a few years at Rushton Park for the Good Friday game.

Peel v East Freo - 2653
Subiaco v East Perth - 3406
Perth v Sth Freo - 2278

I was at bassendean. Looked to be around 2000 people there as well.
