The Red Sox have now had 514 consecutive sellouts of their ballpark. Notwithstanding it's one of the smallest - just under 38,000 - to do this for every game since the run started during 2003 is pretty impressive. The city population is only 600,000 and Greater Boston is 4.5m so to achieve it for 81 regular games per season plus playoffs is testamount to the Red Sox fans. Selling out a Monday or Tuesday night game in April, when it's still pretty cold in Boston is dedication.
Got me thinking what would be comparable....the only one I could think of would be Man Utd EPL games. Anyone know their comparable figure? Had a quick look...didn't find anything and couldn't be bothered scrolling through 85 pages on the Old Trafford topic on skyscrapercity
