Absolutely. 60,000 seats? That's a lotta four by twos eh Bozza? Just kidding. Pretty big but if Spurs ever got back into gear they'd test it.

I presume that is the motive. At first I was thinking this is crazy, your oldest stand is only 20 years old and look how constrained your site is. Then you see plans and it really is a grand plan, the local council would have to work with them to ensure they can buy all the properties they need.

If the plan could be executed by 2018 it could be London's second stadium for the world cup. It would be a close contest between it and Arsenal's Emirates stadium.

One difference would be this one will probably get built But its a much needed upgrade in capacity, because as bj said they have alot of people that simple just can't get into their games.

Difference is this is being funded by a private organisation.

A good stadium with the right capacity. They can fill it for all games.

THe whole project is great. I like stadiums in built-up areas with facilities that serve a purpose every day and where match days are then special occasions carefully planned to manage the crowds.

Its a balance between the traditional too-confined stadiums many of which have been abandoned in England and the sad ugly out-by-the motor way stadiums like Bolton or Reading

I also saw a blog a few weeks back about the plans involving the demoliton of a building that formerly housed the club offices, even though it's not a necessary part of the redevelopment.
