Please list all the stadiums outside of Austalia that you've been to. I've watched a game at Goodison Park and Old Trafford. And I've been inside St James' Park, Anfiled, White Hart Lane and the Riverside.

There are way more that i wanna go to, but i won't even begin to list them coz there are so many!

There is a future there definitely.

I won't deny that there were many northerners and Antipodeans in the crowd but there were also many cockneys and that shows that there is a complex market there.

London is a huge city. The Bronquins have never helped themselves by moving around so much. Then again, not all the moves were their own fault. In settling at Brentford the Broncos were establishing a following in the west again after some years at The Valley. I don't know how much this has changed since moving to Harlequins but then again the grounds are close - I could see Twickenham behind the Ealing Road Terrace.

Skolars will have a much more difficult time of it being in the lower division and based at Wood Green in Haringey Borough (north of Central London away from the many Aussies and Kiwis that could provide a start up market). However, they have a small but loyal following of people committed to grassroots semi-professional RL. They don't break the bank and they are prepared to accept that success will come later after laying a solid foundation - a good philosophy.

Another club I visited were South London Storm. They were in NL3 but withdrew to consolidate their junior base. They have started some junior off-shoots around the Borough of Croydon (south of Central London - scry as f**k late at night). I think they would be the next in line to enter the professional leagues in London.

As far as player development goes, you are starting to see more Southerners in the ranks of Superleague, many of them away from Harlequins and Skolars because they get offered better contracts. One guy at Skolars said it was hard for them because players have to travel from all over Greater London to get to training but they could get a contract up north providing them a house in the town. If the local clubs could afford to keep them, they would be more competitive.

Harlequins need to sack Tony Rea as coach.

still off topic for a sec, that was an awesome write up Jeffles, i read every word. I reckon they can now move forward as the Harlequins and they should host England v France/Wales type matches to give them a bit of a boost. I hope to go over there in a few years and experience it all for myself, it seems you already have, which is awesome.

Bronquins need to stay in the one spot to be successful and not have false expectations. The RFL already take rep games there. Sell outs and trophies may not come for ten years, longer if they continue to move around. They should be happy that they outdraw some clubs that have had 100 years head start.
