That pic reminds me of the cricket ground at St Kevins Junior School.

The left field line was only 200 feet (40 shorter than the original 1950's configuration). The home run screen was 60 feet high (20 higher than the 50's screen).

I wonder how that boundary compares to Parramatta Stadium and Norwood Oval in ABL guise.

Technically the AFL crowd is also a world record for Australian rules football ... as the AFL is not the only competition playing the sport.

:P and it's a VFL record, not an AFL one!

Surely this one is the next to go!!

When it does(Dec26 2006),ill make it a World Record considering the dodgy and unreliable(ie non existent) figures that come from Eden Gardens.
*bump*

Im surprised the Netball WR is still holding up from 2004.
Should be gone after 2015 World Championships in Sydney

I'd like to see the Association football sub-categorised as:

Association Football(international) ie Socceroos games
Association Football(domestic) ie NSL or A-League
Association Football(exhibition) your Beckham/Liverpool at MCG games or other big European club visits.

They're all the same game, but they do appeal to pretty different segments of the football family and event goers.

For me the big one is finals v non finals. I'm a confessed crowd stat collector armed with spreadsheets. Often when I'm going back in my records I'll have the odd season where I haven't bothered entering the finals crowds. Fukn things are worthless IMO. 40k at Perth Glory, lightweights..

Were the European exhibition games at the MCG record breakers for football?

The Liverpool game in Adelaide would be.

I don't know, didn't watch them. I watch so much fricking Champions League I needed a rest.

99,382 for Real Madrid v Man City at the MCG was the highest.
