E-W only becomes a problem for day matches, which the Cowboys never get but to be safe, it should probably run N-S.

They've got a pretty good existence, the Cowboys. Most of their stadium is less than 20 years old, they've got loads of room on that site and they're still likely to get a new facility when they have a whinge. SOO speculation is rubbish for a 30,000 seat venue.

WHy on earth would you even think about building an E-W stadium in this TV dominated day and age? Seems insane to me...

Still, those Queenslanders do love to build new stadiums. Must drive anyone from Perth nuts...

Either the photo is wrong or you've got the square on the wrong block. The photo shows the block bounded by Saunders St to the west, Rooney St/Dean Park to the north, and Perkins St. Note the location of the Rooney St bridge relative to the stadium in the photo.

^^ It does. Which is a problem for day sports and the Cowboys rarely get a day match.

it is just a masterplanning render...they never have to be right...its just about getting people to by in to the concept.....then it will be shelved.
