Not sure if this is relevant but Springvale played their home games their in 2000.

Great photos there. What an awesome training facilitiy it now is. How did you manage to get in there, just a matter of asking?? And I've always wondered if it's still possible to get up to the seats on the top 2 levels? I'd love to see the Box Hill Hawks play a game or two there.

As well as Springvale previously playing games there, they also had the VFL game of the week there every Monday night as well as the Grand Final.

No, don't think it's open to the public at all. Hawthorn's media manager Clinton Brown showed me and some others around - as part of thanks for doing the Box Hill work.

Waverly ruled when they painted the bench seats random colours.

Man its sad to see these pictures and some of the memories i have of the stadium. Stadium would've been awesome now if they kept it too. The land would be worth much more than what it was sold for.

If you look at the above video you can see the vandelism that was taken place when it wasnt used anymore.

Is it Hawthorn who now uses the place?

Yeah they do. For training.

It looks like the top of the Luke Stand was closed on some AFL match days. That's unusual. Even the MCG would open all sections for a low drawing AFL game.

Thanks for the pics.
