As I said in the other thread I went past Victoria Park on the train when I was in Melbourne last weekend. Didn't have the chance to get off the train and take pictures but they are ripping down the RT Rush Stand terracing. From what I could see the forward pocket from the Sherrin Stand to the approximately the old visitors coaches box has been pulled out.

It's a shame to see what the Yarra council are doing to Vic park.my local is about a 2 min walk from the ground,it was the clubs first change rooms due to the first grand stand not being ready.was great to see c/wood vfl team back there last year for home games but won't feel same watching the 2nd's there this year now that the rush stand has been pulled down.c/wood had plans to extend the grounds capacity and build a new gym/change rooms but the council knocked that on the head so they pretty much had no choice but to leave.Once it changed from being the collingwood council to the Yarra council c/wood fc were never going to get much support from them. I have a mate that is involved with the save Vic park trust and he tells me that yarra council knocked the rush stand down so the residents could have a better view out there windows , great rip down the rush stand for better view of the bloody train station.Any way what's done is done i guess.

^ Little respect has been given to sporting heritage with the Victorian venues.

The way some of the c/wood/abbotsford people got treated at the save vic park meetings by the so called top dogs of the Yarra council was a disgarace, Yarra council pretty much ignored alot of the residents arguments for the rush stand and old scoreboard to refurbished not pulled down. There's a website that someone from the save Vic park group has set up that details what's planned for the ground. The social club is being painted back to it's original design and the old ticket box has been rebuilt, cfc has a 5 year lease on the social club for community functions aswell.

I love the "seasons tickets" sign - written in grammatically incorrect fluent bogan.

Fluff piece about further redevelopment of the Glass House and Victoria Park. It appears Vic Park is being transformed from some sort of addict centre in to some sort of addict centre.

Wow - using an Indonesian jail as your design inspiration.
Not what I would have gone with, but each to their own I guess...
