This is one of the really great Rugby League venues but the access and parking is terrible. You cant say it was badly planned because it was built so long ago when the area was totally different to what it is these days. A big call needs to be made - is it a boutique venue or do they go into the big time and completely redesign - I doubt council will go with the later option sadly. |

Best place on earth!!!! Amazing on a Sunday afternoon...take note Gallop!!!! You MUG!!! GGRRRRRRRRRRR
Been going there all my life and Highly recommend a visit. League's true spiritual home. Brookvale, Kograph....your kidding, Leichhardt all the way!!!
The Hill is the best part about the Oval. Who needs chairs or prawn sandwiches when you have the sun and beers!
Rugby League at its best when played here....the end |

The best ground to watch footy from in the world. if you don't like the hill, we have the best stand in the world. If you love a good old fashioned hill, we have the best one of those too. |

There is nothing better than watching your NRL team go around on and old style suburban ground.
Leichhardt is one of those grounds that was built for Rugby League.
You can not get closer to the action and has great viewing, providing patrons on the hill "sit down at front".
Yes Leichhardt does need a little work, it had termite riddle stands, not the best lighting anymore, not enough toilets but people must remember that its been a 1st grade venue since 1936. The main grandstand and Light towers are about 27 years old, but I am led to belive that upgrading will take place.
All true Rugby League supporters must do themself a favour and visit the Grand Old Lady one day.
Many people say parking is a major issue, it isnt providing you know where to park (southn side of the City West Link) is your best bet. |
