A good footy stadium. atmosphere and history. would be a good venue for a-league but that would mean giving hellas a sniff at the big time and no one wants their rubbish from the past. they should be happy being a vpl club at best.

A great little venue with good facilities and heaps of classic terrace charm. The access for the MVFC vs SMFC was terribal with only one gate being opened!. Over all a classic football park.

Loved the Lakeside Oval, classic old grandstand ,press box,outer WWII tunnels, flood lights ,what a shame South went to Sydney .Bob Jane stadium my ass !! should have been Bob Skilton Stadium

The former home of the mighty South Melbourne Swans in the VFL back in it's Lake Oval days, Over years it has been transformed into one of the best Soccer Venues in Victoria with a World Class Grandstand, and riveting terraces. It still has the old Grandstand on the main Grandstand side. A timely memory of the days of the Swans
