Great old ground in the inner suburbs of this city, perfect for the Bulldogs today and into the future but could use some upgrading to get to or above 15,000 so the Doggies like their Sydney counterparts in the NRL (Canterbury-Bankstown) can play 1, 2, or more AFL season games here. Heaps of history (including Fitzroy's last ever AFL win) and countless moments by the man this place is named after. Ted E.J Whitten. Perfect access from the new West Footscray Station still so get ready to take the Sunbury train Doggies fans they will return to the Oval (by the way go swans!) |
