Royal Randwick Racecourse

Located five kilometres from the Sydney CBD, Royal Randwick is considered to be racing headquarters in Sydney. With a history dating back to 1833, the course has a reputation for being a good all-weather track and holds major Australian races during the Autumn and Spring Racing Carnivals including the The Everest. Granted the right to be known as Royal Randwick by Queen Elizabeth in 1992, the course is a wide, sweeping surface of spirit and thundering history attended by charming structures and polished modern grandstands. A world-class six-level grandstand and surrounding facilities were completed in 2013, increasing Royal Randwick's capacity to provide flexible spaces that can be used for both racing and non-race day events. The new WINX Stand opened in December 2021 offering state of the art facilities for racegoers.
