The Perth Entertainment Centre was demolished in 2012
The Perth Entertainment Centre is Western Australia's largest indoor arena however hasn't been in use for a few years now. The centre formally played host to Basketball with the Perth Wildcats calling it home and well as concerts and other major events. The 8,200-seat venue was opened on December 27, 1974.
The future of the venue is somewhat unknown at present. Plans by the owners, Channel 7, to demolish the venue and replace it with appartments have seemed to be scrapped. The latest news is that Multiplex will either replace or redevelop the venue into a 10,000+ indoor arena.
