The Chandler Aquatic Centre is Brisbane's world-class indoor swimming centre. It has a 50-metre main pool with grandstand seating for 4,300. The centre has hosted many high profile events including the 1982 Commonwealth Games and 2001 Goodwill Games.

The Sleeman Centre is situated 2 mins East of the Gateway Arterial Freeway. It is located 17 Kms (20 mins) along Old Cleveland Rd from Brisbane City, 40 Kms (40 mins) up the M1 to the Gateway Arterial Freeway from the Gold Coast, 99 Kms (75 mins) down the Bruce Highway to the Gateway Arterial Freeway from the Sunshine Coast. |
Regular buses run from the City and Carindale Shopping Centre. The local bus line is National from Carindale and Bayside areas. |
