Pat Rafter Arena

Pat Rafter Arena

Pat Rafter Arena is the centre court at the Queensland Tennis Centre which opened in December 2008. The Brisbane International was held for the first time in January 2009 at the venue. Located on the banks of the iconic Brisbane River in Tennyson, the centre provides Brisbane with an international-standard tennis facility for the first time since the closure of the Milton Tennis Centre in 1999.

The centre includes a main arena, which was later officially named the Pat Rafter Arena, complete with a roof and permanent seating for 5,500 fans. Also located at the complex is 22 match and training courts including two showcourts. The venue hosts the Brisbane group stage of the United Cup each year and previously hosted the Brisbane International. There have been plans to redevelop the centre in the future, including an additional 2,000 seats at Pat Rafter Arena.
