Noarlunga Oval is home of the South Adelaide Football Club who play in the SANFL. The ground has a grandstand with seating for around 1,000 people and a grass bank surrounding the rest of the ground. The first game at the ground still holds the record crowd, 10,123 who attended the match between South Adelaide and Glenelg. One of South Adelaide's most enduring members and co-founder of Hickinbotham Homes has been honoured with the re-naming of Noarlunga Oval to Alan Hickinbotham Oval as of 2007. New lights were installed at the ground in 2011 suitable for night SANFL games.
