Glenelg Oval is home of the Glenelg Football Club who play in the SANFL. The ground has two main stands on the main wing and a grass bank surrounding the rest of it. The Glenelg Football Club entered into a naming rights agreement in 2007, with the ground officially known as Challenge Recruitment Oval, this was followed by another deal with it known as Gliderol Stadium for a period of time. Lights have now been installed at Glenelg Oval, suitable for night SANFL games.
