The State Netball Hockey Centre is Victoria's premier hockey venue with two world-class pitches. Both hockey pitches are recognised by the International Hockey Federation as being of interntional standard. The main pitch is the premier hockey pitch in Victoria, featuring a 1000 seat undercover grandstand with an additional 2016 seat portable grandstand on the eastern embankment. The second pitch has a longer playing area to allow for Lacrosse, Grid Iron and a hockey warm up area, with a 325 seat grandstand.
The centre was built for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and opened in 2001. It has played host to a number of major events including the Champions Trophy, Four Nations Hockey Tournament and International Matches.

The Centre is well serviced by trams and trains. Tram routes 55 and 68 stop at the rear of the facility and Royal Park train station, on the Upfield line, is approximately 600 metres away. |
