The State Netball Hockey Centre is Victoria's premier hockey venue with two world-class pitches. Both hockey pitches are recognised by the International Hockey Federation as being of interntional standard. The main pitch is the premier hockey pitch in Victoria, featuring a 1000 seat undercover grandstand with an additional 2016 seat portable grandstand on the eastern embankment. The second pitch has a longer playing area to allow for Lacrosse, Grid Iron and a hockey warm up area, with a 325 seat grandstand.

The centre was built for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games and opened in 2001. It has played host to a number of major events including the Champions Trophy, Four Nations Hockey Tournament and International Matches.
