Drummoyne Oval is an old cricket ground situated along the Parramatta River. The ground is home to the Balmain Cricket Club. A number of other sports are played at Drummoyne including Rugby and Australian Football. Facilities include a new players pavilion, a small grandstand, and a hill which surrounds half the ground. On the other side of the ground, there is a wonderful view of the Parramatta River and surrounding area. The first ever first-class cricket match was played at the ground on February 2, 2003 when NSW took on Tasmania in the ING Cup attracting a sell-out crowd of almost 5,000.
