| The Whitten Oval, formally known as the Western Oval, is located out in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. It is no longer used as a official AFL venue. The Whitten Oval in its glory days was home to the Fitzroy Football Club and the Western Bulldogs Football Club (Footscray Football Club as they were known as then) who still use the ground today as their home base. The ground hosted 880 AFL/VFL matches and 2 finals.
On the main side of the ground, there is a grandstand and corporate box building, and partially covered terraces surround the outer side of the ground.
