West was to be home of the new $1 billion Oasis sporting complex at
Woodward Park. However this project has scrapped. 
The Outdoor 35,000 all-seater rectangular
stadium was to play host to Rugby League, Union and Soccer and be home of
NRL club Canterbury Bulldogs.
