The
Bondi Beach Volleyball Stadium was constructed for the Sydney 2000 Olympic
Games and stood for just six weeks. The temporary stadium was constructed
on the world-famous Bondi Beach and had over 10,000 seats.
The stadium had uncovered seating around
three sides, and a partly covered stand on one side which included
corporate and media facilities. During the Olympics, the stadium was
packed for just about every session of the Beach Volleyball creating an electric
atmosphere.
