Redevelopment work has been completed.Overview:
The WACA Ground, WA’s premier cricket venue since its 1893 opening, has
undergone a significant transformation over the winter in a bid to make it
“the best cricket ground in Australia”.
Features of the development included demolishing the Farley and Players
stands on the northern side of the ground, replacing the two old stands
with a new podium which temporary seating can be erected for matches that
will draw large crowds; replacing seats and bringing in the fence line on
the western and eastern sides; replacing all existing seats with new
seats; a new players pavilion at the southern end; and transforming the
members section to the Lillee-Marsh stand.
