»Aussie Stadium Redevelopment

Commencing in May 2006, the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust will undertake three major capital works projects to upgrade the facilities at Aussie Stadium. At a cost of nearly $7M, these projects are designed to enhance the spectator experience and bring you even closer to the action.

Project One:  INCREASE IN SEATING CAPACITY - $4.2M

Aussie Stadium's capacity is set to increase to 45,500 with 3,000 additional seats to be installed in two main stages of construction.

STAGE ONE - UPPER DECKS
Construction: May 2006 to September 2006

The first stage will see the upper decks of the Nick Shehadie Stand (Eastern) and the Western Stand extended by two rows towards the field, adding an additional 900 seats to the top level. This will add an additional 450 seats to the Members Reserve.

STAGE TWO - LOWER SEATING BOWL
Construction: May 2006 to February 2007

The second stage will see the lower seating bowl at concourse level increased by 2100 seats.

The eastern and western concourses will increase by three rows in the middle, decreasing to one row towards the corners of the field.

An additional five rows will be added to the northern and southern ends closer to the sidelines.

These developments will bring you closer to the action, and will further enhance Aussie Stadium's highly acclaimed match-day atmosphere.

The escalation in atmosphere will prove to be a tremendous asset for the NSW Waratahs, Sydney FC, Sydney Roosters, the Australian Kangaroos Rugby League team, and the Socceroos when they play at Aussie Stadium.

Project Two:  FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLETS - $1.75M

FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLETS

Two additional food outlets and one bar outlet will be constructed on the eastern public concourse of Aussie Stadium.

ADDITIONAL TOILETS

Project Three: VIDEO SCREEN - $1M
