The NSW Government has unveiled the winning design for the new 30,000-seat stadium in Western Sydney to replace Parramatta Stadium.

The $300 million stadium will boast the steepest stands of any stadium of its type, bringing fans closer to the action than any other. The roof will cover all seats and it’ll feature 3,000 premium seats and 54 corporate suites.

The venue will be home to the Parramatta Eels and Western Sydney Wanderers, playing host to Rugby League, Union and Football. It’ll have four change rooms, two large video screens and all the amenities expected of a world-class venue such as extensive Wi-Fi coverage.

Work to demolish Pirtek Stadium will begin in early 2017, with the new venue scheduled to open in early 2019. The rest of the NSW Government’s stadiums package involves an $800 million rebuild of ANZ Stadium as well as a refurbishment of Allianz Stadium.
