FFS, the Wildcats were to blame for the 100 million dollar carpark....

Like every stadium ever built in Western Australia, opening date is delayed and delayed and delayed...

http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/br ... open-date/

I suppose the membership issue is the problem about moving halfway during the season.

It does. I like the colour of the seats too.

Interesting that the Wildcats are on track for 10,000 members...

I wonder what people are going to call it..we've got Betty's Jetty for the waterfront project, the Polly pipe for the Graham Farmer freeway tunnel.. the article says it been called a Beer Can but I think we can do better than that

Why would you blow so much on an ugly building. If civic pride were at stake, spend the millions on Plane Trees. So much more utility, so fewer opportunities to screw up.

"Prof Anderson said the arena, which will open on November 10, would provide an experience akin "to going to the (Sydney) Opera House".

Does he not know that the Opera House actually sucks big time as a performance venue? Inadequate backstage area, too small an orchestra pit and awful acoustics.

Well done for spending half a billion dollars for that low standard to be equalled...

And I think it's gonna be a long long time
Till touch down brings me round again to find
I'm not the man they think I am at home
Oh no no no I'm a rocket man
Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone

Orel - Perth Wildcats 16th November against Adelaide.

www.wildcats.com.au says membership is at 6417 (larger than the Glory's). So should have 7000 members by the first game, should grab the 10,000 per week crowd that Vlahov was aiming for years ago when the Arena was first thought of.
