I saw a bit of it on telly yesterday, and they were ruining the Mariners' pitch by putting shitloads of paint all over it and letting fat bastards gouge it up.
It's almost over - they're up to the grand final shortly. Looked like it was immediate family only in the crowd, you could hear every call on the park.
I went through The Roar's round wraps, and found that the average crowd for the comp worked out at about 2,000, only slightly inflated by a Brisbane City crowd of 13,000 odd (i.e. that's how many were in the gate by full time for the post-match entertainment: the Wallabies game). A few crowds not reported, one Sydney Stars crowd listed as 'not many', and the NSW Country Eagles semi-final crowd was 'withheld'.

Fox Sports.
Gee. That's money well spent.
Yes and no. Marginal cost v marginal revenue.
Fox has been expanding its offering in all codes - aussie rules with the foxtel cup, football with ffa cup, the apartheid game with the NRC. They already have the infrastructure in place to televise the sport, expanding the coverage costs far less than starting from 0 on something else.
