I'll be in town for the Australia v Japan WCQ. I'm unsure what dates I'll be there for though. Thursday seems likely though!

So any more progress on this?

I was thinking somewhere in the city say from 1pm onwards on game day.

Perhaps what cam said about near Fed Square is a good one as it is close to the ground as well as other activities that day. I guess there is Transport. Although last time I was there I didn't really cover myself in glory

Well we can organise to meet at Fed square, walk over to the Melbourne Rectangular Stadium and then back into the city...

1:00pm suits everyone?

Was considering coming down for this match, however it will seem not to be. Had to wait until my uni timetables came out, and while no exams day of or day after, still exams either sides of those two days. Plus being now later in the piece the cheaper plane tickets are gone. Pity, would be great to put some names to faces and experience a near full house at the MCG.

So make sure you appoint someone official photography for some photos please.

What I was thinking was meet in the city, consume beverages of your choice, walk past the MRS and have a gander, then go to a pub in Richmond and consume more beverages of choice before the game.

Good idea.

Seems as though we have plenty of interest, so we will just keep it at 1:00pm. Everybody is invited, not just those who have been posting for years...

After wandering around the area last night this seems like a good plan.

Begin at Transport->walk to MRS for a looksee from the outside->walk to pub in Richmond. A this stage I was thinking Cricketers Arms or The Royal on Punt Rd opposite the ground.

Ill be in Melbourne also for the Socceroos game against the Nippon.

I may come along for a brewski or two depending on what time it officially is.

Transport as a pub is good - Was there for pre-pre game drinkies last time i was in Melb for a Roos game - Thought it was a good venue - Was a hot chick behind the bar too which is always good 8)
