Don't be so selective with your facts Nines.
Australian Football - 20,600 Children + 35,600 Adults = 56,200
League - 23,800 Children + 58,900 Adults = 82,700.
By your own figures that's more than a nice space .
When did touch footy come into things ?
Where's the inclusion of Auskick then ?
Where's the statistics on rec footy ?
Where's the statistics on master's footy ?
Don't be so indulgent with your figures gyfox .

All the variants of all codes are built into the numbers. Touch Footy is listed separately in the ERASS statistics because its numbers are so big but it is a non contact variant of League. All variants of Australian Football are included in the Australian Football figures.
I'm not being indulgent with my figures at all, I am just putting the total picture. AFL (sic) is in a nice space in Queensland because it has established itself and is growing. My suggestion is that supporters like yourself enjoy the game, do all you can to improve the standard of the game and to promote it as a great alternative sport. Its worth as a sport does not depend on the numbers. It is a great sport!
I understand what it is like to be a supporter of a so called "minority" sport. I am a Football supporter and in Tasmania there are still people who publicly vilify supporters of the "foreign" codes and call them Un-Australian.
