c'mon, historically they are the worlds safety airline and now we have 3 accidents in a matter of weeks...all 3 of em' look very easy to setup...1, stick an oxygen bottle in the cargo hold and because the cargo hold id'nt pressurized the bottle blows up 2, a fluid leak 3. landing gear trouble


sounds to me like one of the runway crew does'nt like qantas

or maybe an industrial espionarge job by the 2nd safest airline in the world trying to get to the top of the list.

its freaky stuff though.

maybe it flew to low over an outback property and it just got shot in the cull.

If I blagged to the media and wanted to be an attention grabbing whore the flight I was on 2 weeks ago nearly ended in tears as well.

I'm still surprised the video tape hasn't filtered through to a media outlet. Somehow I don't think the Chinese guy who was filming the goings on after a 2m metal railing dropped on his shoulder on landing realises the potential goldmine he has on his JVC.

Let's turn this in to a bad flights thread.

I was on a Malaysian airlines plane flying penang to KL. The safety routine video was in operation, when suddenly the TV screen, cabin lights, everything start going haywire. Everyone is sort of laughing it off. Meanwhile i'm sitting right next to the f***ing wings and the engines are doing the same thing. sh*t myself.

Bad flights, any Chavair, sorry, Ryanair flight.

Back to Qantas, I know someone who was on QF30. Fare paid for the (return) flight has been refunded and also a voucher for the the equivalent full economy fare return to London been sent out. $3800. Not too shabby....

Qantas flight from LA to Sydney last year.
Pouring down rain in LA, the plane can't leave the terminal because the thing pulling it can't get enough traction. Get it moving about an hour later.
Then when we get in the air, we find out they can't get the in-flight entertainment system working (despite it working on the same plan on the flight from New York earlier).
As there were 3 or 4 kids on the flight, they decided to show kids movies and episodes of Banana's in Pygamas for the 16 hour flight

I know .. plane didnt want to go to Perth.. ....and they still want to claim the world safest airline.

They might not quite fall out of the air completely….doesn’t mean they wont f**k you up in the process.....
