Socceroos WC qualifiers AND Euro 2008 at the same time. I'll be having some sleep deprived evenings over the next few weeks.

As usual I'll be getting behind Portugal who is in Group A with Turkey, Switzerland and the Czech Republic - those bastards.

Group C features Italy, France, the Netherlands and Romania. Should be entertaining.

Yes poor Romania, not the best of luck drawing those three in their group. A real G.O.D. As for supporting, I will be getting behind the hosts Austria, due to family lineage. However I'm not expecting them to get anywhere, might be able to surprise.

On a side point we talk about places not being able to support stadiums after the tournament is over. Check out Klagenfurt, one of Austria's stadium's. A 30,000 seat stadium in a town of 120,000  .

Sounds like Townsville. I'm sure the Klagenfurt Kowboys punch above their weight.

I don't know who will win, who I'm going for or even what the groups look like. Might have to do a little research before it all starts. I might tip Czechoslovakia to win but I hope England and Ireland do well.

I think I'll support Romania because at this very present time in my life I feel like Gypsy.

Basheer referred to "Craig Ribery" in the highlights/preview show tonight... Thank f%^k SBS aren't covering it or else we'd have him commentating half the matches!!

So is Euro 2008 only on Sentana? And has anyone actually bothered to purchase it on Foxtel? There's no way i'd pay an additional $15 per month for a single channel, considering the entire sports package costs thereabouts.

SBS has several live games but more importantly has a highlights show every evening. Setanta has all games live and endless repeats.

I have Setanta and I like it because there's soccer on all the damn time. If you're not into the less high profile leagues or euro rugby or GAA then setanta probably wouldn't be worth getting. I like it and I've managed to piss away more money in a night than I spend on that channel in one year. Worth it I reckon :P
