Jeff raises an interesting point. Can covers be mentioned separately to original performances?

I already included a cover in 474.

As far as I am aware, neither the Appleton sisters, nor the token black girl, nor other member of All Saints had a heroin habit where they'd shoot up among homeless people beneath the overpasses of Los Angeles - a city they have a great fondness for.

466. American Pie - Madonna

I can't stand Slice of Heaven

You hurt me more by putting it in the Top 500 than by leaving it out.

I wish Cobain hadn't topped himself. Then people wouldn't rate Nirvana so highly.

You have no idea about Cobain's talent. He wrote songs so melodious and catchy just like any great band, only difference is it was done with the overdrive on full. Nirvana ARE the 90s.

Back to the covers.

469. Women in Uniform - Iron Maiden

I'm saving the Skyhooks version for higher placing - great song (plus the lyrics remind me of Hot Dogma).
