In an amazing stat, the crowd levels of Force, Dockers and Eagles for the year is set to break the 1 million barrier at Subiaco Oval.

Counting all the crowds at Subiaco Oval for all the games at the ground, despite having 13 sell outs during the respective home games for these teams it will break the 1 million barrier.

Currently

Western Force - 170,546
Fremantle Dockers 361.134
West Coast Eagles 405,195
936,775

With the Derby to have 42,000...and the Dockers likely to get 35,000 plus for the last game, from February - September, our 3 most supported teams will break the 1 million barrier at Subiaco Oval for the season.

Considering the Perth population is 1.5million and the state having 2 million...it means 1 in every 2 people have gone to a sporting event in Perth, watching either Union or AFL.

This doesn't include WAFL which is another 150,000 the Rugby Union Test match that had 38,000...And doesn't include the AFL Finals series

Not making excuses, but I think researching these figures, show how hard a time Perth Glory will have in attracting anything over 10,000...despite the different seasons.

Sorry if its to Perth centric, was just doing it for my personal interest...and just posting it for people who want to look at it...ignore it if you get offended.

Add another 50,000 or so that showed up to the 2 pre-season cup matches.

In terms of total aggregate attendance, would that make Subi #3 in Australia?

Yeah Rob I just used the regular season games for the home teams of Subiaco Oval.

I didn't include the 38,000 Rugby Union Test match and the 17,000 Pre-Season Game for the Force at the venue.

For a dodgy as hell stadium, it hasn't stopped people going to the ground...

With the Ground Record since redevelopment included

Western Force - 170,546
Fremantle Dockers 361.134
West Coast Eagles 448,702
980,382

Should be 1,020,000 by the end of next weekend for the home team's regular season...awesome effort.

And Dockers should reach 400,000 for the first time depending on weather...I couldn't imagine the game not being a sell out.

and also if the dockers can get 38,000 to the game they would have a record high average home attendence.

The record non-derby attendance is around 42,000...they got 39,000 against St Kilda a few weeks back.

But it would be 14 of 22 games sold out at Subiaco Oval, which means nearly 2 out of every 3 AFL games in Perth sold out this year...

Freo need 38,866 against port to break through the 400,000 mark for their 11 home games.

I think they'll fall just short, but it's still a solid figure - only 60-70,000 behind the Cows.

No rain predicted, and last year's crowd against Port Adelaide for the Docker's first game of the year was 36,000.

Ticket sales are very solid at present...about the same levels that the St Kilda game was at a few weeks back.

400,000 would be a huge milestone...

Freo v Port will sell out, no doubt in the world. I'd expect a crowd of about 41,000.

Of course it will sell out...I was just trying to not discredit the interstaters idea of the crowd level.

For the cheapest categories, tickets are down to single ticket purchase only for the Dockers...while the only seats available are on the goal ends of the ground if you want more then 1 ticket.

I'd expect this to be sold out by Friday...will be a test for the club as Port Adelaide would probably have the lowest supporter bases out of all the AFL clubs in Perth...But I have no doubt it will be a walk up sellout if its not sold out prior to the game...[/quote]
