Sorry nothing to be proud about.

Eden Park deserves to be part of the exclusive hack list as the first stadium on the hack list.

Hackeden Park.

I'll quickly add Donaustadion in Ulm, and my new favourite place in the World, Fritz Walter Stadion in Kaiserslautern, although the hill is a bastard, especially if you get directed to the wrong entrance and have to climb it twice!

Allianz Arena (How can top deck on the corner flag be Category 1?)
Gottlieb Daimler Stadion (Again, top deck, corner flag but this time I was in the back row. Category 1 my arse FIFA! However, no bad seats when you go through.)
Back to Kaiserslautern on Monday.

Quick run-down of the five stadia I went too:

Kaiserslautern: OK, but the access to our seats in the press tribune and the media centre itself (which was located in a completely different stand to that of the press tribune) left much to be desired. Nice little town it seemed, but the ground itself seemed a bit out of reach. The press tribune was situated in the (oldish?), smaller two tier stand which I thought, before going, was pretty low, but the second tier actually seemed pretty elevated.

Munich: Fair way from the city centre/central train station. Once you're in, it's great. Easy access to everything, good views all round, etc. Had seats not too far behind the Oz bench.

Gelsenkirchen: I can see what someone on here (JF?) said that it feels a bit like an American Football venue. I think it's better off with the roof open. It felt dark and soulless. Keep in mind though that I was sitting in literally the very top row, and had roof supporting beams blocking my view from just above the far side of the pitch. Otherwise I can't criticise it.

Frankfurt: Pretty good all round. Unlike Gelsenkirchen, the roof doesn't drastically darken the place and you can still very much sense that the sun is out and it's a nice day. Neither does the roof come down; in fact it feels a very open, warm and connected venue.

Stuttgart: This surprised me most. I thought the oval shape would make it the worst ground we'd visit but it probably turned out to be our favourite. Maybe it was the atmosphere, which was the best out of all the matches I went too (the Ausssies and Cros actually got along fine generally), had something to do with it. But I think what helped is that the stands on the side actually ran parallel to the pitch (not the case for us in Gelsenkirchen or Frankfurt), and you weren't actually all that far away at least on the sides. Access for us was fairly easy too, and it was located in probably the most interesting precinct of the five stadia.
