Forgive me if this has been mentioned before but what makes a stadium worthy of inclusion for austadiums?

Is it national league status?
Capacity?
Size of the stands?
Facilities and amenities available?
Mixture of above?

Whatever anybody decides to write up and put photographs towards...

You will find Cam will accept anything with a grandstand or a grass bank...

Me and Sathc plan on going on austadiums road trip to the vague stadiums that don't have good enough or any photos in Perth...the motivation to do so will need to be greater on my part though...

Austadiums is incomplete without HD's TWG sig photo included. What a grandstand.

Good question. There’s no set of guidelines or anything, so it’s pretty flexible, however it’s not as if typical local grounds are going to be added. Basically, a ground will be added if it’s seen as ‘significant’. This could be determined by either of the following: size, facilities, history & events it plays/played host to.

A venue can be submitted here: www.austadiums.com/submitinfo/newstadium.php

The reason I ask stadiumking is a few of the ex NSL grounds I have taken pics of haven't been included (e.g. Luxury Paints Stadium, Cook Park, Chaplin Reserve, Esther Park 8) ) while others have. Also add to that EFtel Oval, Claremont and Leaderville Ovals from what I took in WA. Henceforth my querying of a criteria and if those excluded didn't meet anything specific.

I plan on getting a semi-professional digital camera within the next few months so expect photo ambush.

Never knew of this venue submission link. Handy for future reference.

hehe, top grandstand mate!!

Usually the reason for a venue not being added is more the fact I haven't got around to adding it to the site. Then after time, I forget about a post in a forum - so if you use the link, I drag them into an email folder where I'll eventually get to it.

The link can also be accessed via the 'submit info' link on the left panel about half way down.

This is what I figured it was a time thing but then again specific criterion would be applicable for such a website as you don't want to see any park included.

If that's the case, I'll make submissions of the omitted grounds so it can be stored for the memory bank later on.

As for Jensen Park, That's NSWPL quality for ya!

Cromer Park actually has the decent Lucas Neil Stand and wouldn't have looked out of place in the NSL. I believe Northern Spirit should have played their last season at Cromer rather than rotting at Pittwater but the stand was still under construction at that stage. I now regret not taking pics when the ground would have had the most people ever and every seat in the Lucas Neil Stad was taken when Sydney FC played their first ever game against Manly United on Good Friday last year.
