AAhh..fantastic.

You can see on the Western Oval photo the old stand that has been subsequently filled in to serve as corporate boxes etc. That stand would have to be quite old now.....I presume it's staying despite the redevelopment?

The Western Oval stand in the old picture has a peaked roof. The newer stand had a flat roof. Is it the same structure?

I could be wrong - often am  - but that 1967 photo
supposedly of Waverley looks more like either the
George Harris Stand at Princes Park, or one of the stands
on the wing at Windy Hill, either way, theres no long, sloping
terraces at the front like what was in front of the KG Luke Stand
at Waverley.

That is definitely the George Harris Stand under construction.

To use a point of reference I made in a post a few months ago, the poplar trees in the background give it away.

Holden V8 these pics are dynamic!!!!!!!! :D

I gracefully stand corrected on the stand under construction.

yep still the same structure but the roof must of been replaced when it was boxed in. the style of the brickwork in both the photos are the same so that gives it away
