The RFL have announced their venues for the RL Tri Nations. I tried copying and pasting the press release but the bloody Error 403 continued.

GB v NZ - Loftus Road, London
GB v AUS - JJB Stadium, Wigan
GB v NZ - Galpharm Stadium, Huddersfield
GB v AUS - KFC, Hull

Final - Elland Road

----

In addition AUS play NZ at Telstra Stadium on Saturday October 15 At 7.30pm. I'm not sure where the NZ home clash is but I hope it is at Erricson Stadium.

As for the English venues, the conservatism continues. Unfortunately CoM Stadium was unavailable as it had hosted too many non-soccer events. Even so, the RFL have not decided to look beyond the square. The Yocksha dominance is surprising. Venues like Anfield and Blackburn, would have been conservative risks and taking a match away from Huddersfield would have redressed the imbalance. And while Hull has been a very successful venue for Tests, I'd have liked to have seen a different Yocksha venue. Bramall Lane perhaps.

The London venue is still Loftus Road. I think Fulham would have been better or maybe The Valley (if GB were playing the Kangaroos in the capital).

At least the home nation is playing in London this year. The RFL are doing their bit to help the game on the expansion frontier. As for the ARL... I'm still bitter about Telstra Stadium over Melbourne.

Leigh.

The RFL are more supportive of expansion. Whilst the London Broncos are doing the same old, Rugby League below the elite level is progressing well in the capital, surrounding parts in the South and in Wales. TV audiences in the South for Rugby League are encouraging.

Oh, and you can add Stamford Bridge to my list of possible GB v AUS venues.

Is that confirmed?

I hope so. It is a better venue than North Harbour. Now that the eastern stand is built, I hope Erricson is adopted as the only Test venue - try and get a second Carlaw park going.

Very good prices but I'll only go to the Grand Final if I had free tickets.

I'm a definite starter for the Test but I want to sit in Category A. Few mates of mine would want to pay $60 so I may have to settle for sitting elsewhere to be with them.

Good news about Ericsson Stadium as well. A 25,000 sellout wouild look sensational and it is very possible.

I just hope that game goes better than the last international at Telstra.

Ericsson has the potential to sell out the last two games it holds this year, Warriors/Knights and the test.

Bring the Tri-Nations down under i say.

2007 Ian Ritchie - I cannot wait. There'll be a few flights with me as a passenger. Hope to make all the Aussie games in Australia and maybe catch one in NZ.

Ian Ritchie, are there plans to make one stand behind the goals permanent. This would improve the facilities at the ground, increase capacity but allow the facility to be versatile for concerts. When the Warriors started in 1995 they averaged more than the current capacity. If they had a few gun years 25,000 would not be enough. Ditto for the Kiwis if SBW and Benji get into gear.

2007, might show myself over in Oz a few times.

The South stand is permanent, the North one is temporary.

OK - any chance of making it look decent!

According to an article in Big League (who are always right!) the World Cup might be Pre-Season 2008 and Aussie Tri-Nations in 2006.

BTW: Newtown Cronulla again Jeffles.

Whats wrong with it?

Apart from it not being concrete. No roof on it, please!

the trinations are in australia in 2006.

Highbury could always be an option, although its capacity is smaller than Stamford Bridge.

I still reckon that they should take a game to Wales. they get great crowds to challenge cup finals at Millenium Stadium, but i doubt they ever will.

erricson is great choice.

seperately, what are the chances of this ever happening:

The Tri Nations alternating between Aus, GB and NZ, with the World Cup every four years. when its in GB, the aus v nz games can be played one apeace in oz and nz, with the rest in GB.
When Aus host it, the GB v NZ games take place in NZ (Auckland and Wellington)
When NZ host it, the Aus v GB games take place in australia.
