Did anyone notice some prime minister guy talking today about some potential terrorist attacks on parliament?

Really Essendon was it really worth fighting these charges?
They should fail to exist as a football club. Care only about their self egos, nothing about sport in this country.

Nah. More like a "soft" announcement they won't.
It's no longer about legalese. It's now Vietnam. They have the guns, the ammo, the psycho gene - but if you lose the support at home, you lose.
Granted, yes, Essendon fans are collectively the dumbest people in Australia. But nobody gets their wallet out to see the sequel to that.

The Wall's about to come down.

This whole saga has just been a bath emptying. Slowly but surely it goes down the drain, except at the end when it makes this shocking screaming noise for a bit, then when it's empty you think "oy hun where's the baby fukn."
The talk is moving toward concessions to allow Essendon to fill a team next season. This is disappointing. IMO no concessions, let them take to the field with 9 players. At least you know your Essendon rookies in Supercoach have decent job security.
Best idea I've heard is club ban from competition and replaced with foxtel cup winner.

I haven't paid close attention to the Essendon case for a few months. What's the status update? Seen that Hird has had his case emphatically dismissed by the FFC

1. Hird appeal has been dismissed.
2. Essendon has threatened to boycott the NAB Challenge.

Re: The ACC nukes Australian sport
The threatened boycott is creative reporting. The issue is the players are angling for back dating of the ASADA penalty, but backdating cannot reach beyond the last date they participated in active competition. If they play NAB cup the backdating, if any (thoroughly undeserved too) would effectively only reach back to the 2015 pre season. Also, the secondary issue is that when an Infraction Notice is issued it is a provisional suspension by default. So dir, they can't play if the tribunal is still open, unless the AFL agrees to waive the provisional suspension. On that though, they've already done that in allowing 2 EFC players to play in the international fools series.cam wrote:1. Hird appeal has been dismissed.

If you support this sh*t you're all in. AFL isn't sport, it's sports entertainment. And as utterly ridiculous as wrestling.

I personally never expected them to get done and quietly read comments from many a internet expert of how they were supposedly stocking up on anal lube.
I still think they're guilty... as ASAGA are equally guilty of incompetence

Hard to blame ASADA for Essendon not keeping records of what was.injected into the players. Also hard to blame the individual players. James Hird and others ought to be swung by their toes over a crocodile pit though.
