that was twice as bad as i thought. i suspected you had a chance to get through, but with that kind of goal differential i'm thinking not.

Apparently goal difference only matters for the sides you are equal too i.e. If Australia is level with Ghana, the score between these 2 teams is used

I really was kidding myself when I thought the 'aussie spirit' would push us past the group stages, especially when our defence is THAT bad.
We are F**ked.
Ghana run twice as fast as Germany.

After the World Cup, we should go right back to the drawing board. Keep Milligan, Carney, Jedinak, Wilkshire, Holman, Vidosic, Kennedy and Ruka for 2011+ and cut everyone else save for Cahill, Emerton and Kewell (all subject to fitness).
Keep half of the current 'old guard' for the Asian Cup and then retire them, it really needs to be done.

Okay, start swinging the axe but leave 11 players.

Well...11 out of the current squad of 23, but retire Moore, Chippers, Neill, Beauchamp, Grella and Bresc, most of our best XI. Kewell will probably pull the pin soon as well.

If they were horses, they'd be in Clag jars very soon.

Do they still have Clag in schools?

That stuff was sh*t. The paper would go soggy and it took all day to dry.

But it was non-toxic so the weird kids could eat it to their heart's content. Meanwhile, google has revealed to me that Clag is still around.

I wonder if any coaches have been sacked mid world cup campaign effective immediately.

I think we are acting like the soor losers we are known to be. Hardly any credit is being given to Germany.

Why is there more interest in any average round of the Hyundai A-league then Australia's first World Cup game? This forum is strange.

Personally, I prefer this forum for reflective analytical discussion. But I've done hours worth of bitching and moaning about Verbleak in the real world.

So do you want more of these around Wally?

Pim Out.
Apparently we do have $6 million to spend on the next coach.
