For those of you who live over there, is "winking" one of your customs?

c) Mentioning things that would require local knowledge to a global audience expecting them to recognise what they're on about!

Yes it was bad enough that we wanted to host the commonwealth games

WEven worse when Harry Madden declares that the biggest sporting event in the world in 2006 is in Melbourne, oblivious to a samll thing called the WORLD CUP.

Then to cap matters off back to what Waz says they have Ron Barassi as the main person in the Boring ceremony whoops Opening ceremony

Can i start a thread telling people what is wrong with them and people can add to the list.

Traditions...
Probably hosting world class events, especially sport...
Annually: Australian Open, F1 Grand Prix, MotoGP, Melbourne Cup, AFL GF. Plus the Olympics, Commonwealth Game, Swimming World Champs, etc. Attending sports events is a big tradition - more than anywhere else. Sports capital, events capital, fashion capital...

Oh and apparantly murdering South Australians. Inbreds.

Ah I love this city!
