What is the truth? Please elaborate?
I understand that the long-term effects of regular heavy MDMA use on the serotonin receptors in the brain are probably not good, but removing other immediate risks surely wouldn't hurt. It has not been proven, but reduced intake even in regular users in a lot of cases has shown to reduce long term risks.
That is my one and only beef with ecstasy - the long term effects of sustained use. Going by the rate people munch on the pills that is fairly often amongst a lot of young and upwardly mobile Australians.
This country is going to have a mental illness epidemic in the next 15-20 years and this wanton behaviour with substances that can cause adverse effects on the brains biochemistry will be a huge factor in that being an unfortunate reality.
So boys (and girls) get your investment dollars on pharmaceutical companies that make anti-depressants, anti-pshychotics and mood stabilisers as you'll make for want of a better word a killing.
Having said that when working I'd rather deal with a crowd off their face on rec. drugs than alcohol.
