God the draw was so boring to watch, well especially when your starting to fall asleep at 4am in the morning and the sun is coming up.

My first thoughts were this isn't such a bad group, but then every piece of commentary I have heard has referred to our group as the G.O.D. I personally rate the Ivory Coast, and as such I think that the Group G is the Group of Death because the three strong teams have very good claims to go far in the tournament. But hey that's just me.

If we play England it will be in Rustenburg.

I am aiming to watch Chile play a group game in Chile, New Zealand in New Zealand and Australia in Australia.

The timezone in the middle of the day is no use to me though. Could even potentially miss watching the game of a lifetime - Australia v England second round.

If we beat them.

We own those bastards

Rugby World Cup Final, Ashes, League 4 Nations triumphs will mean sh*t if we can kick England out of the World Cup.

The next sweetest thing to winning the cup lol.

Pretty much, if we beat them they will never live it down. It would be absolutely awesome. Nothing would compare to Australia knocking out England in a World Cup!

There was a banner at the England-Australia friendly at Upton Park that said: "If we beat you today, you suck at everything".

1-3

My funny Australia V England story.

I was doing year 12 at the time. I watched the game then rocked in to a computer lab session for my first class of the day. I was sitting next to an asian international student. He was checking football scores on yahoo, and started acting all super excited about some result involving Korea (or something to do with a player, didn't really understand him well). Anyway I told him that Australia beat England and he couldn't believe it. We started getting a convo going. I asked him where he was from and he said Korea.

"Yeah? North or South?"
*oh f**k.*

I'm confident it's the dumbest thing I've ever said.

i doubt australia will get england.

ideally yes, but if we were it wouldn't be till later on

the media in the paper today are saying serbia and ghana aren't tough teams. the hell they aren't. Serbia are a very hard team to beat, most people liken them to the red tea towel team croatia. which is completely false, serbia are a far superior footballing side to the croats..

ghana are also a tough team but they can be beaten.

if pim deciedes to be defensive then the socceroos will get put to the sword.

The best we can hope for is to finish 2nd in our group which, with the cross over over Group C and D, will mean that we would play England in the Round of 16.

Croatia's form for leading into Germany 2006 was as good as Serbia this time around. They were undefeated in Qualifying, Serbia lost 2. Relative strengths of the two is a matter of opinion but it is interesting that Croatia was ranked 20 going into 2006 and Serbia is ranked 20 now.

Our record against Ghana is really good. 4 wins, 2 draws, no losses SBS said on the morning of the draw. Although that should give us some confidence past results count for nothing, it is all up to form on the day.

I didn't have much to do today so I thought I would total up some numbers.

To get to this stage, World Cup Qualification has involved 848 games, 2,337 goals and 19,325,951 spectators.
:)

how is South Africa feeling drawing Uruguay France and Mexico...i reckon they will feel like they are in the group of death (also being the lowest ranked team)

NZ and North korea have the same odds to win i read in the sunday paper. 8)
