Gutted that NZ beat Australia for bronze in the team pursuit. NZ's first medal in the event.

Don't Channel 7 have Craig Stevens working for them any more?

We've managed to better our Athens haul with a few potential medal events to go.

GB gold in the sailing....again

medal watch

G.britain 13/7/8 - 3rd
Australia 11/10/12 - 4th

we are starting to pull clear, plus we have 2 cycling finals later this morning so that should be another 2 in the bag, i doubt you'll catch us if we get to 15, what gold medal chances have you got left? and i don't think we'll be finished at 15 either, i reckon we'll nudge 20...

Couple of the team sports like Womens Water Polo and Basketball and the Mens Hockey. Males BMX we have a world champion. I think we have a couple left in us. Aparently yesterday with the two sailing and the womens triathalon was Australia's best ever single day at the olympics.

To be honest if we can maintain a top 5 position then I think we should still be happy, its only that the Pomes are beating us that we are getting upset.

NZ are doing bloody well - punching aboe their weight. Being a small nation with little funding, the NZOC cannot afford to actually send every qualifier to the Games. Their team would be much bigger if they did.

Did anyone see Sally McLellan's post match interview. Good to see the odd scatterbrain among the majority of media trained professionals. Great effort by Anna Meares to get silver. What a remarkable comeback! Our track cyclists have otherwise been disappointing.

Fantastic effort by Sally, and a refreshing post-race interview. Great to see such excitement and enjoyment. She was the same when she got through to the final as well!
