Sorry mate, it's taking several weeks to proof-read it and fix it up. ;)

the surface at EnergyAustralia Stadium following a motorcross event that forced the postponement of two A-League matches.

Only 1 game in the end, and a move.

Guy seems to know his stuff.

I have got in contact with Bernie (the last article, I had three people asking me for his contact details from the media to turf companies) and should keep Brisbane updated with the costs and the length of time it may take before sport can be played on the ground.

Hopefully with Cam being awake and seeing the immediate news value of the article, it can be published tonight or tommorow. Have just sent the email questions out

Of course there are major concerns with the flood and the impact on life is devastating. But many in Brisbane have become shocked and interested to know the impact of the flood on sport in Brisbane (entertainment after a tragedy will be very important to many people).

Should be a very interesting article.

Bon Jovi played on the 14th of December. The Roar played on the 26th on a wet yet playable surface. That would be about as fast as you could turn it around I imagine. Thankfully the Tennis has also been through for the year, as it is now a bunch of Swimming pools, which makes Andy Roddicks complaints during the final seem rather funny.

Bigger issues though regarding sub soil? Will it contain elements that will restrict the growth of the grass from the flood waters? Will Turf have to be transported from somewhere outside of QLD due to the floods?

What Yob says is right. Can't know the damage until it all subsides, but a bit of river silt and raw sewerage could do wonders for the grass.
Brisbane's turf farms are mostly all to the south, around Jimboomba and Jacobs Well, which hasn't really been hit by flooding. But it could depend on what grass Suncorp wants, perhaps its a special blend or a rarer grass, who knows.

Someone should sit down with Bernie and teach him how probability works.

Reported about 12 hours after my article.

Anyways the current hope is a month without action at Suncorp, announced today in Brisvegas.
