Upcoming articles

Postby Egan » Mon Dec 04, 2006 5:05 pm

I thought I would make a thread to let you guys know of the upcoming articles that will be appearing on austadiums.com

I talked to WA Athletics CEO today and wrote a feature report up about WA Athletics. I am sure you guys will be interested in what he has to say about all things to do with Athletics in Western Australia.

I am still awaiting reply on the Major Stadia Taskforce.

I will be heading out Friday Night, to do the article on baseball I was originally planning to do a few weeks ago.

Stay tuned to this thread, will highlight articles that will be popping up.

My last one on WA Hockey is finally up and gives an interesting perspective on the regional base that WA Hockey has, in some area's they have a good supply of synthetic pitches in other's they don't.

Thanks for your continued readership.

I also need a volunteer from Sydney, Brisbane/Gold Coast and Melbourne to volunteer to attend a potential press conference.

An interest in journalism is all that is required and the ability to ask some questions at the potential press conference in one of these states.

Thanks very much

Mate, it depends on where the announcement is made in eastern Australia. My hunch is that they won't make the announcement in Melbourne.

But thanks for the offer.

I will let you know that austadiums.com will have an exclusive article on the latest in the presentations of the future rectangular stadium at Members Equity Stadium, while also touting that the WARL may yet still be able to have a NRL fixture in 2007.

If Cam can add them as soon as possible this would be fantastic.

As you can see its Uni holidays.

Both of them are up.

Noticing the League article, I was stunned at the price Suncorp Stadium are giving clubs for games.

Eg Cheesie said Bulldogs v North Queensland will be played at Suncorp...that fee would be the main reason.

The WARL must be happy that someone in the same state as them wants to have a chat! Egan, have you told them all that you think RL is like watching paint grow?

I think I need to make a few points clear though, Rugby League WA did not leak the story, it was another source and they confirmed the story.

It also makes it very vague at the end, but I am supremly confident that the FFA, Rugby League WA and Rugby WA will be presenting a united front to the taskforce in the next few weeks, in a presentation to the Major Stadia Taskforce.

Rugby League WA, was a bit coy on the subject...but I believe it will certainly happen.
